Their food, service, and vibe are always great! The space is always clean and the food is always fresh. Whenever I'm in San Diego I make sure to stop by. I love that they are 100% gluten free because I have celiac and don't trust other restaurants that prepare foods with gluten.

Have had the rolled tacos at least a dozen times and have never been disappointed. We like to get 12-14, depending on how hungry we are, to get some of each of their different flavors. Even their lentil rolled tacos, which were skeptical of at first, is a solid choice. We like to pick up from them to take to a friend's house to share since it offers a variety flavors for people with different dietary restrictions like vegan or vegetarian.

Upon walking in we noticed the fun bright colors inside the restaurant. There's seating all around you. The cashier was super nice and helpful with suggestions. The food IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AND FLAVORFUL!!! We got the 12 supreme rolled tacos supreme style! The prices maybe higher than others but for the amount of food and effort you see from the workers wanting to make amazing food !! WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!!

As someone with celiac, I really appreciated this fuly gluten free restaurant! It's a very casual, order at counter location. Everything seems to be cooked to order! The taquitos were excellent, flavorful, crunchy texture and available in many sizes. The veggie quesataco was delicious, with the cheesy taco and the grilled vegetables. The churros (which were also gluten free) were a must have; they were warm, flavorful and with a nice crunchy outside and soft interior. Excited to go again this trip before I head out of San Diego!

The search is over! I have found the holy grail of Churros. This is hands down BEST Churro i have ever had in my entire life!! You can thank me later. Also the tacos are phenomenal. Need to hold a title fight to determine the winner between their red and green sauces because they're both heavy hitters. YUM! Definitely recommend. NOT exaggerating about that churro!! This is the hill I'm willing to die on. Fight me :-D

El Tianquis is a fun little restaurant with a playful spin on Mexican food. The decor is eclectic, combining rustic elements with lively, modern art that gives the whole place a creative energy. The creativity doesn't stop with the decor; it carries right through to the food. I love the array of taquitos with different fillings. Each taquito is color-coordinated with little stickers so you can tell what you're eating when you get your plate. The selection is fun, with options that cater to different tastes, including some delicious vegan choices. I was especially fond of the potato taquito, which had just the right balance of crispy on the outside and soft and savory on the inside. One small disappointment for me was that I was hoping to find hard shell tacos, which I thought they had based on some pictures I had seen before going. It would have been great to see those on the menu as well. That being said, the taquitos gave me that crunch I was looking for.

This place is legit!! All they pretty much make is Rolled Tacos but, they do have some regular taco options on the menu. Everything is fireee . The rolled tacos have the perfect texture and all the right toppings! They are better than a lot of places. But if all you make is rolled tacos then, what else could one expect! Cool little shop on El Cajon Blvd. Inside is not too big but, if seating is open then you're in luck. Service has always been pretty good. I would definitely recommend trying this place! Only Warning is that the parking lot to this place is Crazzzy and small.... so drive safe!!! Lol

Experience here is overall good and worth coming back. It seems like they are advertising as a rolled taco shop. But not only the roles tacos. Regular tacos are amazing. I tried the carnitas tacos here. Their carnitas stands out. Good texture, good flavor. But too salty, that's the only downside. Adobada tacos. This one was perfect. I could feel my heart clogging up just the way a good adobada is supposed to do. My doctor will not be happy, but I am so boohoo.
